ATA Earns AS9100D Certification

San Diego, Calif., May 12, 2020 – ATA Engineering is pleased to announce that we have earned our ISO 9001:2015 + AS9100D certification for our Quality Management System.

ISO 9001:2015, a globally recognized quality management standard developed and published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), provides a model that organizations can use to build an effective quality management system. The standard is based on several quality management principles, including a strong customer focus, involvement of high-level company management, and ongoing improvement of a process approach.

The AS9100D standard supplements the ISO 9001 requirements for work in support of the United States Department of Defense, NASA, and the Federal Aviation Administration. AS9100D certification, which is recognized internationally as the quality management system standard for manufacturers, contractors, and suppliers to the aviation, space, and defense industries, is based on a standard published by the Society of Automotive Engineers for the design, manufacture, production, assembly, and testing of aerospace-related products. Companies that achieve AS9100D certification have proven that their quality processes and continuous improvement methodologies meet the highest industry standards.

ATA’s ISO 9001:2015 + AS9100D certificate, effective as of May 7, 2020, was issued by IAPMO, a leading quality management system certification body. The scope of ATA’s certification is “designs and implements aviation, space, and defense testing services.”
