Dr. Rory Davis Joins ATA Engineering as Senior Technical Consultant
Dr. Davis brings more than 30 years of design and analysis experience to ATA Engineering
SAN DIEGO, Calif., Oct. 8, 2012 – ATA Engineering, Inc., today announced that Dr. Rory Davis would join the ATA team as a senior technical consultant reporting directly to the Vice President of Design/Analysis. The engagement of Dr. Davis, a respected and highly published industry veteran, is part of ATA’s commitment to the strategic expansion of services to provide customers with the most innovative and comprehensive technical solutions.
Dr. Davis brings more than 30 years of experience that both complements and expands ATA’s services and product offerings. For the last two decades, he has been CEO and Chief Engineer of Convergence Engineering Corp., an expert provider of design, analysis, and testing services specializing in advanced composites structures, aerospace thermo-structural analysis, multidisciplinary optimization, and motorsports components.

Dr. Davis’ areas of expertise include development of probabilistic and statistical engineering methods, analysis of complex dynamic systems including rotordynamics and nonlinear multi-energy domain systems, thermo-fluid testing, multidisciplinary system analysis and optimization, and failure forensic engineering and expert witness support for product liability and patent litigation legal cases.
