Finite Element Modeling
For some analyses, building the FE model takes time that you just don't have. There must be times when you say to yourself: "If I just had an FE model built of this design, the analysis would be easy. In fact, I need to do the analysis myself, so I can think about the design changes. And, the model needs to be in I-DEAS® so I can include it in my design." ATA will build a finite element model to your "specifications", in I-DEAS® or NASTRAN, let you review it in process, and get it back to you in the proper format. You can run the analyses yourself in I-DEAS® or in any other solver - ATA will provide the formatting for anything. Or, ATA will complete the analysis. It's up to you.
Structural Analysis
Maybe it’s a straightforward structural analysis: "I just need a quick set of stresses and deflections before I commit to this design". ATA can give you stress, strain and deflection, in a linear elastic static analysis. Inputs can be loads, acceleration, distributed weight, or contact.
Dynamics/Kinematics
Maybe it’s a dynamics concern or a kinematics issue: "Just where are the vibration modes in this framework before I speed up the drive mechanism?" ATA can give you the normal vibration modes (frequencies and shapes) and kinematic analysis for any structure, part or assembly.
Thermal
What about thermal issues? "The packaging is almost complete, but the power supply is bigger than in the prototype. I wish I knew if the adjacent electronics need a fan." ATA can give you a thermal map of steady state temperatures, superimposed on the air flow patterns, all from the solid assembly and basic inputs you probably know.
Modal Test and Correlation
Dynamics problems often can be addressed by a simple modal test and correlation task. ATA can design and perform the modal test (at your place or ours), and correlate your finite element modal.

And what about converting your engineering data from one software system to another? We can lend our expertise and years of software development in this area and help you overcome this inevitable nuisance when working in a heterogeneous computing environment.

Simple. Let us know below that you are interested and briefly describe what you want done via phone or e-mail. ATA will contact you by phone or e-mail, with directions on how to post the design model, in solids or 2D (we can handle just about any format), so we can review your design and analysis needs. Make sure you leave a phone number, because some things will need to be discussed, such as the objectives of the analysis, boundary conditions,loads, post-processing or software requirements, etc. Within a day or two ATA will send you a proposal outlining the scope of the work and estimated costs. Approval by purchasing will gets us going (although many of ATA’s long term customers may use their opened Purchase Orders for this work).ATA will complete the work in our offices or in yours; your choice. We can send the results to you, or even post them on our secure website for your (and your partners) review. As an alternative, we can do the work onsite, on our equipment or yours, and become a part of your team for a few days or a month. We can supply the software and hardware, and even train you on how to do it next time on your own. You supply the coffee.
