ATA Engineering, Inc. uses FTP as a method of exchanging files with clients. The following are instructions for uploading files either to our Western Region (San Diego, Los Angeles) or Eastern Region (Herndon, VA) offices. To download files, please coordinate your request with your ATA contact.

To use FTP, you need to have the FTP client software installed. It is very likely that one is already installed on your computer. If not, others are readily available as shareware or freeware.

Access the FTP client using one of the following methods:

  1. Using Internet Explorer browser,
  2. Using Microsoft Windows OS "Command Prompt" (DOS shell)

NOTE: All transfers to and from the FTP server are logged.

Important Guidelines for Using ATA FTP Services:

  1. Files uploaded to ATA will be deleted after four days.
  2. Files should not contain spaces in the filename. Example: "file_name.zip" will transfer whereas "file name.zip" will generate an error and will not transfer.
  3. Any files transferred to ATA's incoming (upload) area cannot be deleted or downloaded.
  4. Before being transferred to ATA, files greater than 5 Mbytes should be compressed using industry standard compression methods such as WinZip, gzip, etc.
  5. Your access to this server is subject to any existing terms and conditions you have with ATA Engineering, Inc. and the following:

By using the ATA FTP server, you agree to refrain from attempting to circumvent any of ATA Engineering, Inc.'s computer security measures, and from attempting to access data not explicitly listed in this file, made publicly available in the archive's directories, or explicitly made available to you by an ATA Engineering, Inc. employee with appropriate authority.
