Using Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer

Note: Older versions of Internet Explorer and older Windows Operating Systems may not have built-in FTP capabilities.

To use Windows or Internet Explorer for drag-and-drop file transfer, you must first verify an Internet Control Panel setting

Note: You may want to contact your IT staff before making Control Panel changes.

Checking “Enable folder view for FTP sites” will allow Widows to transfer files. Otherwise Windows will either display the contents of the file or ask where (on your local disk) you wish to store the file. This setting will follow the options you have set for Folders.
Depending upon your type of Internet connection, you may also have to set “Use Passive FTP…………….” in the Internet Options Control Panel.
From an Internet Explorer or Windows Explorer window, type in the URL for the desired upload site. The URLs are:

ftp://ftp.ata-e.com (for ATA's Western Region Office) or...

ftp://ftp-ero.ata-e.com (for ATA's Eastern Region Office.)

Once connected, simply drag and drop a file (using the left mouse button) from a window on your computer to the ATA window. NOTE: Do not use spaces in filenames.

The same thing can be done using a “classic” Windows Explorer window.
