ATA Engineering (ATA) staff has many years of experience developing and using software applications that span the disciplines of design, analysis, and test. Because we are engineers, doing actual engineering work, we are familiar with the technical issues and requirements of other engineering organizations, right from the start. This understanding of the requirements coupled with our extensive programming experience gives us unique qualifications for developing comprehensive applications or industry templates from an engineer's perspective. By working closely with our customers, understanding key requirements in the context of the product development process, our staff develops and proves new techniques and applications. Multi-disciplined Engineering Collaboration
Engineering projects often span the disciplines of design, analysis, and/or test. Standard I-deas® integrates these disciplines into a powerful suite of tools. Still, there are many technical areas that I-deas® was not intended to address, which nonetheless can benefit from access to its broad range of modeling, graphics, and database capabilities. We can integrate any program or suite of programs that can benefit from I-deas® in this way. We've seen that such integration dramatically increases the speed of product development. By integrating or enhancing your applications across engineering disciplines, we can improve your product development process.

Specialized Methods and Software Development
Many I-deas® customers have in-house codes or methods that perform analyses specific to their line of business or engineering processes. Often, these proprietary analysis capabilities would be much easier to use if they were automated or had access to the type of part, assembly, or FE modeling data that I-deas® can generate so effectively. Software integration couples these codes with I-deas® powerful graphics and model generation capabilities, making the customer's program available from I-deas® icon panel or hot keys as if it were a standard I-deas® operation. ATA has experience in analysis software integration at multiple levels. We use the I-deas® programming language for automating simple tasks via program files. For more complex requirements, we can use any of the I-deas® Open Architecture tools (Open Data™, Open Link™, and Open I-deas®). We can provide a targeted analysis application that facilitates your product development process.

Translation Software
For geometry data we rely on the STEP and IGES translators provided with I-deas®. If you have Finite Element data that is not supported by one of I-deas® standard translators, we can write you a special one.
