modal testing
|
|
Our modal testing
experience includes Ground Vibration Tests (GVT), Finite Element Model
Verification and Trouble-shooting. We have modal testing experience in
many areas ranging from fighter jets to ride simulators to satellites.

OPERATIONAL TESTING
|
|
Identifying operating
characteristics of equipment can confirm that design objectives have
been met and ensure that future problems will not be encountered. ATA
has a wealth of experience not only in collecting operating data, but
interpreting the results and helping to solve real problems. ATA has
all of the equipment required to install transducers, make
measurements, and analyze the test data.

| SHOCK & DROP TESTING |
|
Shock testing is often performed
as part of a hardware qualification or design process. Information
obtained during shock testing can improve the survivability of products
as well as verify that they will perform properly in service. These
types of tests require special transducers and measurement systems to
record and process the high level, high frequency response. ATA has a
large array of the equipment required to conduct these tests and
provide timely results to enable a shock testing program to be
conducted quickly.

|
| COMPONENT & SYSTEM TESTING |
|
ATA's experience includes
component and system testing utilizing strain gages, accelero-meters
and many other available measurement devices. We can perform million
cycle tests or experimentally record the duty cycle and analytically
predict the life of the structure. We have experience in testing
amusement park rides, automotive ride quality evaluation, aerospace,
robotics, and other applications.

| QUALIFICATION TESTING |
|
Qualification testing is an
important step in evaluating how well spacecraft and launch vehicles
perform under severe loading conditions that occur during launch and
operation. ATA has conducted acoustic and vibration qualification
testing of numerous launch vehicles and spacecraft components. Complete
instrumentation and data collection and processing services are
provided. ATA support allows efficient acquisition and analysis of
critical qualification testing measurements.

| AUTOMATED TEST SETUP (ATS) |
|
ATS is a system designed by ATA Engineering and The Modal Shop (TMS)
to automate and reduce test setup time. This software and hardware
package utilizes bar code scanning and smart transducers to reduce
human error while preparing for data acquisition. It also provides
checks to identify errors in the setup. It will then list the probable
error so that it can be easily fixed. More information here.

| STATIC LOAD TESTING |
|
We perform static tests using
mechanical and/or hydraulic actuators in line with load cells to
measure the input force. Responses on the structure can be measured
using strain gages, LVDT type linear transducers, capacitive
accelerometers and other types of measurement devices. ATA Engineering
can design and perform a static test to meet your needs.

|
| AUTOMATED STRAIN INTERFACE (ASI) |
|
The
Automated Strain Interface (ASI) software program is used to configure
VXI Technology’s VT1529B strain hardware prior to taking dynamic
strain measurements. ASI can also make static strain measurements
directly from the VT1422 without the need for other hardware. More information here.

| ACOUSTIC TESTING |
|
Our acoustic testing
experience includes acoustic qualification and evaluating sound
pressure levels. We utilize microphones, pressure trans-ducers, and an
acoustic intensity meter to record acoustic measurements.
