Making the Move to the New NX Sketcher: Persistent Relations + What’s New in NX 2606

Making the Move to the New NX Sketcher: Persistent Relations + What’s New in NX 2606

17 17 people viewed this event.

Many NX users continue to rely on legacy Sketch because it provides a familiar level of control over parametric geometry. With the NX 2606 (Designcenter) release, the new Sketcher introduces significant improvements designed to provide that same control while making sketch creation, editing, and updates more predictable and efficient.

In this live webinar, ATA Engineering and Siemens Digital Industries Software will provide a practical look at the new Sketcher from the perspective of a legacy-Sketch user. You’ll learn what has changed, what remains familiar, and how the new tools can help you manage relationships and dimensions throughout the design process.

Topics covered will include:

  • How the new Sketcher workflow compares with legacy Sketch
  • How to control which relationships are created and maintained
  • How persistent relations work through create, snap, and edit operations
  • New tools for finding, managing, and converting sketch relations
  • How sketch updates use existing constraints for more predictable results and faster solving
  • What to expect when working with legacy sketches in existing models
  • And more!

The webinar will conclude with a brief overview of additional 2606 updates. Live Share and Copilot were covered in ATA’s February webinar which is available here.

Who should attend?

This webinar is ideal for NX designers, engineers, and users who currently rely on legacy Sketch and want to understand the new Sketcher workflow, its enhanced controls, and what the transition means for existing models.
