Simcenter FLOEFD is fully embedded in leading CAD systems and offers an intuitive user experience for designers. Using native CAD data without translation or fluid body creation means users don’t lose time transferring, modifying, or cleaning a model or generating extra geometry to represent the fluid domain.

Simcenter FLOEFD uses unique SmartCells™ technology that enables it to use a coarse mesh without sacrificing accuracy. It also features a robust automated mesher that easily captures arbitrary and complex geometry. With FLOEFD, design engineers can effortlessly evaluate the impact of changes to geometry or boundary conditions, conduct fast and frequent what-if analyses, and generate insightful reports inside their preferred CAD platform.

Simcenter FLOEFD can be extended with optional modules for advanced analyses. These include an advanced CFD module for special applications like hypersonic flow and orbital radiation simulation and an HVAC module for designing occupied spaces. Electronics cooling, light-emitting diode (LED), and power electrification modules are also available, and the advanced HEEDS Sherpa solver can be leveraged to conduct intelligent multiparameter optimizations.
