Systems Support Specialist

ATA Engineering, an employee-owned engineering consulting company, is seeking an organized and motivated individual to fill a Systems Support Specialist role. The person in this role will act as a point of contact for all company offices and personnel requiring assistance with IT support, upgrades, and troubleshooting.

Manager, Systems Administration

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be the cheerful face of IT, fostering positive relationships across the organization
  • Provide first-line technical support to employees, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues with a can-do attitude
  • Assist new employees in person or remotely with system setup
  • Assist staff with installing requested software on their workstations or laptops
  • Handle user, computer, and group policy management via Active Directory
  • Configure and install desktop and laptop computers
  • Document support tickets and resolutions and post to internal knowledge base
  • Create, administer, and deploy Windows 11 computer images companywide
  • Be aware of new and emerging threats and how to remediate them
  • Interact with the Security Operations Center in whitelisting and confirming threats
  • Maintain current workstation infrastructure by performing patch development, upgrades, and troubleshooting
  • Provide FlexLM licensing support
  • Perform inventory tracking/asset management
  • Assist in using ManageEngine to help with IT tasks such as software patching and software deployment, and support the team in remotely managing systems providing technical support to users

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15
  • Minimum of 2 years of related work experience
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field from an accredited college/university with an excellent academic record, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 11
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for helping people
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills delivering solutions that delight users
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Server+/CompTIA A+ are a plus but not a requirement
  • Knowledge of multi-protocol systems (including Microsoft Windows and Linux/Unix)
  • Able to prioritize multiple requests in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
  • Interest in engineering
  • Ability to prioritize work, proactively plan, and multitask
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional dress, appearance, and demeanor
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to spend long periods of time sitting at a computer, standing, or in an active state as needed to coordinate various event types within diverse environments
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lb of equipment

Salary Range:

  • Early Career Professionals: $75,000–$95,000 per year
