ATA Engineering Announces the Release of Vibrata 5.2.2

SAN DIEGO, Calif., December 29, 2025 – ATA is pleased to announce the release of version 5.2.2 of Vibrata. Vibrata is an advanced dynamic analysis software package designed to give Femap® users powerful response analysis capabilities. Vibrata allows users to easily define, solve, and display results for the most challenging dynamic simulations and offers an easy-to-use interface and unlimited customization capabilities through its integrated MATLAB® interface. This release is primarily a maintenance release that updates the Function Manager GUIs to support recent MATLAB releases and makes other improvements to these GUIs. It also adds support for Femap 2506 and fixes a bug in calculating reaction force output from base excitation solves.

Highlighted Software Updates

Vibrata v5.2.2 has been released and is ready for download at www.ata-e.com. This release brings a number of useful enhancements and bugfixes to Vibrata.

  • The new Post Processing example function vraPostResponseSummation sums XY response output for the Response Spectrum solver according to the summation method specified for the solve. This capability allows you to compute section loads for this solver, as they cannot be stored as contour results.
  • The Function Manager and New Function GUIs have been updated and enhanced so that they work with MATLAB R2025a and newer.
The Function Manager and New Function GUIs have been updated and enhanced to work with newer MATLAB versions.
  • Data can now be quickly and easily pasted from a spreadsheet into the function Edit GUI in the Function Manager.
  • This version fixes a bug that caused reaction forces to be calculated incorrectly for base excitation solutions where the base node was defined with a local coordinate system.
