A new era of space exploration begins with today’s successful launch of NASA’s Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope! Exploring dark matter, dark energy, and exoplanets, Roman carries the Wide Field Instrument—a 300-megapixel infrared camera—as well as a coronagraph. With a mission planned for a minimum of five years, it is designed to capture detailed images of the universe at a dramatically faster rate than the Hubble Space Telescope.

- High-Gain Antenna: Thermal analysis performed for Applied Aerospace & Defense to help ensure that the antenna can withstand the mission’s demanding thermal environment.
- Precision Alignment Mechanism Control Electronics: Thermal and structural analysis of the control electronics for a customer supporting the telescope’s precision alignment mechanisms.
- Propulsion System Pressure Transducer: Structural and thermal analysis, performed for Taber Industries, of a propulsion system pressure transducer.
