SAN DIEGO, Calif., April 29, 2026 – ATA is excited to announce the release of version 9.1.0 of the IMAT family of software products. IMAT is a MATLAB toolbox designed for test and analysis engineers who process data from a variety of sources. This release brings a number of useful new enhancements to the powerful functionality available in IMAT.
ATA is committed to providing new IMAT releases in conjunction with new MATLAB releases. ATA Engineering designed IMAT v9.1.0 to work with MATLAB R2026a as well as previous releases back to R2023b. IMAT v9.1.0 also supports Abaqus 2024 and Femap 2512.

A more capable, customizable ATAViewer
With this release, IMAT+FEA’s ATAViewer brings numerous updates, providing expanded capabilities and a more customizable experience. Building upon its recent debut, ATAViewer, IMAT+FEA’s comprehensive FEM and result viewer interface, has been updated with numerous enhancements to offer even more helpful capabilities. In this version, ATAViewer’s full-featured GUI provides a smoother, friendlier user experience, along with broader access to useful customization options in the ATAViewer API so you can adjust the viewer to suit your needs.
Improved SPOINT DOF processing
In this release, IMAT+FEA’s Nastran import and matrix processing capabilities—including readnas, create_extse, and mat2subst—offer more efficient processing of SPOINT degrees of freedom, with several useful enhancements:
- Updated DOF labeling allows you to easily identify SPOINTs in your matrices, no matter which version of Nastran your data comes from.
- Extraneous rows are now removed from your SPOINT output transformation matrices, keeping your matrices manageable and reducing memory usage.
- SPOINT matrices that include all-zero rows or columns are now automatically resized as necessary to provide consistent matrix sizes, saving you time and effort.

IMAT v9.1.0 is available to any IMAT user who is current with maintenance, enhancements, and support (ME&S). There is no cost for upgrading to v9.1.0. Customers can download the latest version here. Please note that this version requires Sentinel RMS 10.0.0 or higher.
